Please post a brief description of your character's background, and a bit about him or her. Don't post their stats and skills/merits here, but give us an idea of what they can do. Here's an example:

Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, is the most terrifying name in the Caribbean. He is one of the most successful pirates ever to sail the seas, and has ransomed entire cities during his notorious career. His victims eagerly surrender rather than face his terrifying wrath. The few men who resist are overrun by his ferocity and daring in battle. Blackbeard leads boarding parties himself, pistol in one hand and cutlass in the other, as he ruthlessly murders anyone who dares defy him. He was granted a pardon by the English government in exchange for his promise never to engage in piracy again. However, Edward Teach soon realized that a settled, quiet life was not what he wanted, and he soon returned to piracy. In response, the English have dispatched Lieutenant Robert Maynard to hunt and capture (or kill) the nefarious Blackbeard.

Narcisse "Cheveux D'or" Lebeau
(nar-cease shay-voo door luh-bo)

Narcisse Lebeau is a French aristocrat of some renown, known for the bloody work he has performed throughout the Caribbean for the better part of a decade. Known to others as Cheveux D'or (literally "golden-haired"; Goldilocks) for his bright blond hair, he preyed primarily on Dutch and English traders. Still, Narcisse hardly considers himself a criminal: Indeed he tends to view most foreigners (especially Dutch and English) as subhuman. Intelligent, manipulative and pitiless, he is adept at getting what he wants, and is prone to explosive outbursts when he doesn't. He is motivated primarily by ambition, greed and the stoking of the fires of his pride. He is capable with the pair of pistols and fine French-made rapier he is rarely seen without but considers direct involvement in violence beneath him, preferring instead to delegate to Zander Eldridge, an Englishman Narcisse first encountered years ago when the Frenchman took him and the rest of his crew as spoils, destined for ransom or slavery. When Narcisse's ship came under attack by Dutch privateers days later he was forced to throw open the cells in a final attempt to fight them off. In those final desperate minutes of combat Narcisse and Zander gained a reluctant respect for one another and when at last the Dutch were defeated Narcisse sailed on with Zander as crew and not cargo.

Zander Eldridge

English Officer that served in the Royal Navy. He grew up in the streets with not much of a future so he enlisted to get away and head for the new world across the sea. He fancies himself an impeccably skilled fighter. You choose your poison; whether it be swords, guns, or fisticuffs, he will be more than happy to oblige. He believes in the standard that 2 is better than 1, dual wielding his way to glory. His particular favorite weapon is the cutlass. Eldridge found his ship and crew under attack by the Frenchman know as Narcisse and were quickly dispatched as the English were scattered, under equipped, and had no support whatsoever. Eldridge and his crew were taken prisoner and were destined to be sold off as slaves but fortune favors the bold and when Narcisse found himself under attack by the Dutch, Edlridge was released to fight back for his survival. During the fight Narcisse found a grudging respect for Eldridge and instead of selling him off, Narcisse kept him around to do the more 'unpleasant' jobs of life at sea.

Itz Coatl

An Aztec Native who was known for his dazzling intellect and his steady hands of healing. Itz was the fourth and youngest son of a Pillis (Noble). Itz was born with the blood of mages, which has been appearing in his family for generations. Itz was said to be destined to become an extremely powerful mage. But since he was a child Itz never had the intention of restricting his future to magic alone. Itz grew up reading and learning as much as he could from whoever he could. He would apprentice himself to Ship Captains, Scholars, Mages, and Sailors, but the one who had been the biggest influence was a French Doctor named Alphonse. He taught Itz everything he knew about medicine and the French language. After many years Itz found his way into becoming one of the best doctors around. One day Itz was called to heal a crew of privateers that was wounded during their mission to dispatch a group of Mayans. Their Captain Narcisse Lebeau was surprised to fine an Aztec native who could not only perform life saving surgery but also speak Decent French. After the crews lives were out of danger Captain Lebeau ask Itz if he wanted to join his crew and set sail for adventure. Itz who had spent all his life in his homeland was glad for a chance to see the world.

Character bios Empty Adriaan Brauwer

Post by spckaufman Fri May 17, 2013 10:55 pm

Adriaan Brauwer: Brauwer, the son of very wealthy Dutch Privateers, is known throughout the lands as a shifty eyed Dutchman who picks a fight just to see what happens. Brauwer is quick witted and feisty and would rather cause a fight than be helpful. Brauwer had left home with a small crew of mostly sea-rats, to have an “adventure” on one of his father’s ships. The crew had been sailing for a fortnight when they ran across a French ship. Brauwer had grown restless as he had not fought or instigated any trouble in nigh two weeks. Brauwer himself fired the first shot as his crew looked on, poised for battle.

The battle was fierce and one could often hear Brauwer laughing over the cannon fire and sword clash right up to the point where his ship sank. Brauwer was defeated, floating in the water the French ship began to depart. Brauwer grabbed a mooring line that was loosened during the battle. Laughing, Brauwer pulled himself up the mooring line and thought, “This is a fine mess.” Hoisting himself aboard, the sole survivor of a battle gone horribly wrong, Brauwer, devised a plan that just might save his life…
